PRPP is the product of R-5-P + ATP.
The process then gobbles a further 5 ATPs!
PRPP revives a nitrogen from - glutamine - (the normal amino acid in non-sickle cell anemia sufferers).
Glycine and tetrahydroformate (THF) each donate a methyl group.
Glutamate also donate to compose a ring.
PRPP is now CAIR!
